Grove Ferry Play Park

Locals know Grove Ferry is worth the drive out from Canterbury — it’s got that proper countryside feel with the River Stour right there beside you. The play area is well-suited to toddlers and younger kids, nothing too overwhelming, and there’s a big open grass field where they can just run themselves tired. Pack a lunch because the picnic tables actually get used here, and the benches mean you’re not standing around awkwardly while the kids do their thing. Toilets on site too, which if you’ve got little ones you know is basically non-negotiable. The water nearby keeps things interesting, and if a train happens to pass, prepare for five solid minutes of pointing and shouting.
