Katesgrove Playground

Katesgrove gets a lot of use from the local kids, and honestly it earns it. You’ve got your standard slides and swings, a decent climbing frame, plus a basketball court and bike track that keep the older ones busy long after the younger ones have tired themselves out on the play equipment. The open grass field is genuinely useful — big enough for a kickaround or just spreading out on a sunny afternoon with food from the picnic tables. It’s an urban playground so don’t expect peace and quiet, but for a spot in the middle of Reading it punches above its weight.
