The Salterns

The marina views here are genuinely hard to fault — sit outside on a decent day and you’ll see why locals keep coming back despite everything else. The food and service, though, are a different story. Expect to wait longer than you should, and don’t be surprised if half the menu is unavailable when you actually get someone’s attention. It’s one of those places that coasts on its setting, which, to be fair, does a lot of heavy lifting in Newport.
