Honestly one of the better parks in Dumfries for keeping kids of different ages happy at the same time — the climbing structure and slides hold the attention of the younger ones while older kids drift over to the basketball court. There’s a solid sandbox for the toddlers, swings that actually get used rather than left to rust, and enough open grass for a proper run-around. Parents get benches with decent sightlines across the whole park, which makes a real difference, and the shade trees are genuinely useful on the rare sunny Dumfries afternoon. The walking path loops things together nicely, parking is straightforward, and it covers the 2-13 age range without feeling like it’s trying too hard to please everyone.
