Hightae Playground

Locals with kids in the Lockerbie area know Hightae is worth the trip out. There’s a solid mix of slides, swings, and a climbing structure that keeps the 2–12 crowd genuinely occupied, and the open grass field means older ones can just run. Shade trees make a real difference on the rare sunny Scottish day, and the picnic tables get used constantly by families who’ve clearly made an afternoon of it. Parking is right there, you can see the play area easily from the benches, and the whole setup is accessible — no faff getting in with a buggy or a younger one.
