Kirk Loch playground

Right on the edge of Kirk Loch, this wee playground has one of the better backdrops you’ll find for a kids’ outing in Lockerbie. The water’s just there beside you, which keeps the setting feeling calm and open rather than like your typical town park. It’s a solid choice if you’re planning a longer afternoon — there are places to grab food nearby so you’re not scrambling once the kids inevitably declare they’re starving. Locals know it as a decent spot to combine a play session with a walk along the loch. Nothing flashy, but it does the job nicely.
