Roseneath Park & Lookout

If you haven’t taken a kid up here yet, you’re missing out — that slide is genuinely impressive, with bends that most playground slides don’t even attempt. The views over Wellington harbour are the real bonus though, and honestly some locals come up here without kids just for that. Park up, do the slide, grab a bench and take in the city lights for a bit — it doesn’t need to be a long visit to feel worth it. Sunset timing is a good call if you can manage it.
