Crossley Ave Playground

One of the better all-rounder spots in Woodend, this playground genuinely works for the whole family — little kids on the swings and slides, older ones on the climbing structure, and anyone who brought a bike straight to the track. The basketball court and soccer field mean there’s always something to do if the play equipment gets crowded. Shaded seating and picnic tables make it easy to actually stick around rather than just dropping the kids off and hovering awkwardly. Wheelchair accessibility is solid here too, including the restrooms, which isn’t always a given at smaller Canterbury playgrounds. Locals with mixed-age kids tend to rate this one highly, and honestly it’s easy to see why.
