The play train is honestly the main drawcard here, and kids absolutely lose it for it every time. Halswell Domain does a good job of keeping multiple age groups happy in one spot — there’s the playground itself, a skatepark nearby for older kids, and the ponds make for a decent wander once the little ones need a change of scenery. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying way longer than planned. Locals know to make a proper afternoon of it rather than just a quick stop.
