Green Island Memorial Park Playground

The fencing here is genuinely good — solid and fully enclosed, which makes a real difference when you’ve got toddlers who bolt. The equipment is relatively new and pitched just right for the 2–8 crowd, nothing too intimidating but enough to keep them busy. There are some decent shade trees doing actual work on a sunny Dunedin afternoon, plus a picnic table if you want to make a proper stop of it. It’s a handy little spot given how close it sits to the supermarket — easy to tack onto errands without it feeling like a detour.
