Honestly, this is more of a drop-off point than a destination in itself — it’s the gateway to Christchurch Adventure Park up on Dyers Pass Road, and it does that job well. From here you’re minutes away from the trails, the lift, and the cafe, which is handy when you’ve got kids who’ve already burned through their snacks on the drive up. The access is easy and the location makes sense as a base before you head into the hill. Just don’t show up expecting a playground — the adventure is further up the slope.
