Glebe Park Playground

Right in the middle of the city, this little patch of green is honestly one of the better spots to take the kids when you’re already in town. The open grass field gives them room to run around while the shade trees mean you’re not completely cooked on a hot Canberra day. It’s the kind of place that works for all ages — parents can do a lap on the walking path while the younger ones burn off some energy. Convenient doesn’t even cover it; you’re already nearby for pretty much everything else Civic has to offer, so it just makes sense to stop in.
