Tardent Street Playground

One of those quietly reliable spots that Downer locals probably walk past without giving it much thought — but it’s worth a stop. The older-style equipment has been upgraded and kept in genuinely good nick, with swings that include toddler seats, a frog springer seesaw, and a solid climbing structure with a metal slide. Shade trees do a decent job of taking the edge off on warmer days, and there’s a bench positioned well for keeping an eye on the kids. Nothing flashy, but that’s kind of the point — it just works.
