Melba Street Park

If you’ve got a toddler or a preschooler, this little Downer park punches above its weight. The play train is the clear crowd favourite — kids will queue up to drive it, crawl through the tunnel, and do it all over again. There’s also a rock climbing wall that keeps the slightly older ones busy while parents grab a bench in the shade. Toilets on site, parking sorted, and the open grass oval out back means older siblings aren’t completely left out.
