Diddams Close Playground

Right on the edge of Lake Ginninderra, this one’s a solid pick if you want a full afternoon out rather than just a quick play stop. The kids have slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a water feature to keep them busy, while the adults sort out lunch at the BBQ and picnic tables under some genuinely decent shade trees. It’s well-kept — the kind of place where you don’t feel like you’re taking a risk on the equipment. After they’ve worn themselves out on the playground, the lake is right there for a walk along the path or a look at whatever’s out on the water. Parking’s easy enough, and it draws a good mix of locals who clearly come back regularly, which tells you something.
