Tench Reserve North Playground

Tench Reserve North is one of those spots locals keep coming back to because it just works — the playground sits right near the water, so you get that easy riverside feel without having to go far. Kids aged 2 to 12 have plenty to get into between the climbing structure, slides, swings, and a sandbox that younger ones absolutely destroy. The shade trees do a decent job keeping things cool, and parents can actually see what’s happening from the picnic tables and benches, which makes a difference. There’s parking on site, a walking path if you want to stretch your legs, and a big open grass field for anyone who needs to burn off extra energy. Jamisontown doesn’t have a tonne of family hangout options, so this one gets used — and for good reason.
