Battarbee Park

Locals in Araluen know this one well — it’s the kind of park you end up at on a Saturday morning without much of a plan and stay longer than expected. The climbing structure keeps older kids busy while the swings and slides sort out the toddlers, and the age range really does stretch from wobbly two-year-olds to confident ten-year-olds without anyone feeling left out. Shade trees make a genuine difference out here, and the picnic tables get used — bring lunch. The open grass field is good for a kick around, and parents can actually see the whole space without constantly relocating themselves.
