If you’re after somewhere low-key for a family arvo out, this Salisbury park does the job well. The shade trees and covered seating mean you’re not baking in the sun while the kids burn off energy on the open grass — plenty of room for a kick of the footy or a game of cricket. There’s a BBQ area and picnic tables on hand, so it lends itself nicely to a proper afternoon spread rather than just a quick stop. Nothing flashy, but that’s kind of the point — it’s the sort of local park you keep coming back to because it’s just easy.
