Russ Hall Park playground

Locals with little kids keep coming back to this one, and it’s easy to see why. The playground has slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a merry-go-round — enough to keep the 3-and-up crowd genuinely busy for a good stretch. Shade trees do real work here on hot Queensland afternoons, and the fencing means you’re not constantly chasing someone toward the carpark. There’s a BBQ and seating if you want to make a proper afternoon of it, and the walking path winds out toward the nearby creek and green space, which is a nice bonus once the kids need a change of scenery. Parking’s easy, the neighbourhood is quiet, and it just feels like a park that actually gets used and looked after.
