Right near the waterfront in North Ward, this playground gets a solid workout from local families — and for good reason. The climbing structure, slides, and swings cover the bases for kids roughly 2 to 12, and the shade trees actually do their job when the Queensland sun gets serious. Parents can keep an eye on things easily from the surrounds, and there’s parking nearby so you’re not lugging gear from three streets away. Tack on the walking path and you’ve got a decent outing sorted — let the kids run it out while you do a lap or two along the coast.
