If you’ve got a toddler and you live anywhere near North Ward, you already know about this place. It’s right on The Strand, fully enclosed, and designed specifically for the under-threes crowd — so no big kids barrelling through and sending yours flying. The shade trees do a decent job of taking the edge off the Queensland sun, and the layout means you can actually sit and relax without losing sight of your kid for a second. Being steps from the beach is a bonus, easy to tack on a little sand time before or after.
