Splash Pad

If you’ve got a toddler on Oak Island in July, you already know this place is a lifesaver. The splash pad runs on a motion sensor so water only flows when kids are actually playing — smart setup, and the fencing keeps little ones contained without making it feel like a cage. It’s close enough to the beach that you can make a full morning of it, but honestly some days the splash pad is just easier than hauling everyone down to the sand. Restrooms and parking are right there, and last I checked a dole whip truck sets up nearby which, yeah, seals the deal for the under-6 crowd.
