Duke Park Playground

Duke Park is one of those spots that locals keep coming back to, and honestly, it earns the loyalty. The climbing structure is genuinely substantial — kids who think they’ve outgrown playgrounds will find something to work with here — and the slides are the kind that actually move fast. Mature shade trees cover most of the play area, which makes a real difference on a hot Durham afternoon. There’s a walking path, open grass for running around, restrooms on site, and enough benches that parents can actually sit down.
