LEO’s Haven Accessible Playground

One of the better additions to Santa Cruz in recent years, this fully accessible playground was clearly designed by people who actually thought about what families need. The enclosed layout is a real win if you’ve got a toddler who bolts — swings, a climbing structure, and a merry-go-round keep kids of all abilities busy for a solid stretch. Clean restrooms, picnic tables, and decent parking make it easy to settle in for the afternoon rather than just a quick stop. The walking path and bike track give older kids and adults something to do while the little ones play. Everything still looks new and well cared-for, which honestly isn’t always a given at city playgrounds.
