Monument Valley Park North End Playground

If you live on the north side of the Springs, this one’s hard to beat. The playground itself is geared toward younger kids — toddlers through early elementary — but the real draw is everything around it: wide open grass, shade trees, and that unobstructed view of Pikes Peak that honestly never gets old. The duck pond is close enough to make a whole afternoon out of it, and the walking and bike paths connect you straight into the broader Monument Valley Park trail system. Restrooms are actually clean, which, if you’re a parent, you know isn’t something to take for granted. It’s the kind of place where you show up for the playground and end up staying two hours longer than you planned.
