Locals with little ones keep coming back to this one for good reason — the sandbox alone buys you a solid 45 minutes of peace. There’s a nice mix of slides and swings that works well for the toddler-through-elementary crowd, and the shade trees actually do their job when it gets hot. Grab one of the picnic tables under cover, and you’ve got a genuinely comfortable afternoon. The soccer field and open grass give older kids room to run while the duck pond nearby gives everyone something to look at. It’s a quiet neighborhood park that doesn’t try too hard, which is honestly exactly what you want.
