Sterne Park

If you live in Littleton and haven’t spent a Sunday morning at Sterne Park, you’re missing out. The walking path that loops around the pond is genuinely one of the better ones in the area — geese everywhere, herons if you’re lucky, and enough open water to keep kids distracted for a good 20 minutes before they even find the playground. Speaking of which, the equipment is updated and handles the 2-to-12 crowd well, with enough variety that siblings aren’t fighting over the same thing. Shade trees and benches are scattered throughout, so parents actually get to sit down. It’s a quiet neighborhood park that punches above its weight, especially for anyone into nature walks or wildlife photography.
