Wa-Ke Hatchee Park

One of those parks that actually delivers on what you hope for — shaded seating, clean restrooms, and a climbing structure that keeps the 2-to-12 crowd genuinely busy. The pond views along the walking path make it worth a lap or two even if you’re just killing time while the kids wear themselves out. Shade trees are real and plentiful, which matters a lot when you’re in Fort Myers and it’s basically summer ten months a year. Dogs are welcome, the open grass field is solid for a casual kick-around, and the picnic tables are in decent shape. Locals come back to this one for a reason.
