Kirn Park

If you’re not from the area, you’d probably drive right past it. Kirn Park is one of those spots that Council Bluffs locals tend to keep to themselves — a quiet little green space with a soccer field, a walking path, and enough shade trees to actually make a summer afternoon bearable. The playground is best suited for the little ones, roughly 2 to 10, nothing too intense, but solid for that age group. Picnic tables, benches, restrooms — it’s got the basics covered without feeling overcrowded or chaotic. Come on a weekday and you might have the whole place to yourself.
