Aranda Community Playground, Banambila St

The log-themed upgrade here was done right — chunky timber-style climbing structures, a tunnel, and a cubby slide that the under-10 crowd absolutely tears around on. There’s a musical drum tucked in among the equipment which sounds like a small thing but genuinely keeps kids busy longer than you’d expect. Shade trees and a covered picnic table mean you can actually sit comfortably while the kids do their thing, and the rubber softfall throughout makes it feel well thought out for the younger ones too. Parking on Banambila St is easy enough, and the new concrete paths mean strollers aren’t a drama.
