Good spot for a family afternoon — the musical equipment gets younger kids surprisingly hooked, and the climbing structure keeps older ones busy long enough for the adults to actually enjoy a BBQ. It’s right near West Belconnen Pond, so there’s a decent natural backdrop that doesn’t feel like your average suburban park. The water feature adds another layer for little ones who are going to get wet regardless of what you planned. Parking’s easy, there are proper picnic tables and benches, and the walking path around the area is worth doing after lunch. Dunlop locals definitely know about this one, but it rarely feels overcrowded.
