Franklin’s a pretty solid suburb for parks, and this one punches above its weight. There’s a good mix of equipment here — rope climbing, a hammock swing, a motorcycle springer — so kids don’t just lap the main structure and lose interest after five minutes. The slides cover both age ends, with a bigger plastic one on the main structure and a smaller metal slide for the little ones. That sheltered picnic table is genuinely useful, not just a token gesture, especially on those harsh Canberra summer days when the shade trees alone don’t quite cut it. Locals with kids of different ages tend to like it here because there’s actually something for everyone rather than everything aimed at one group.
