Mildenhall Place Playground

The elevated position here is genuinely the best thing about it — you get sweeping views out toward Mt Rogers that make the whole stop feel worth it, even if the equipment is pretty basic. There’s a climbing structure with stairs, a suspended metal bridge, and a slide, plus a swing set covering both standard and toddler seats. Honestly though, it’s showing its age and could use some attention before it really lives up to the location. The walking track that runs past connects you further around Mt Rogers, so it works well as a mid-walk break if you’re out with primary school-aged kids. Bring a snack and use the bench — the outlook does most of the heavy lifting here.
