Wongoola Close Playground

Honestly, the views from this little playground are the real drawcard — on a clear day you can see Parliament House and a good chunk of the city spread out below you. The climbing structure and swings keep the preschool-to-primary crowd busy while parents actually get to sit down and enjoy the scenery for once. They’ve done some decent upgrades recently, new flooring makes it feel a lot less tired than it used to. The shade trees do their job on hot Canberra afternoons, and the open grass is handy when the kids inevitably decide the equipment isn’t enough. One of those spots that genuinely punches above its weight for a suburban street playground.
