Haig Park Nature Playground

If you’re after something a bit different from the usual plastic-and-rubber setup, this one’s worth the detour. The obstacle course is built from logs and stumps at all different heights — genuinely good for kids who want a challenge, not just something to look at. There’s Aboriginal artwork painted through the space that makes it feel considered rather than thrown together. The pine trees do a solid job of keeping things cool, and with benches and shaded seating around the edges, parents can actually settle in rather than just hover. The bike track and walking path through Haig Park mean you can make a proper afternoon of it.
