Alexandria Park

If you’re local to Alexandria, you already know this park gets a solid workout most days of the week. The basketball court and soccer field draw a regular crowd, and the walking path is a decent loop if you just want to move your legs without committing to anything too serious. Plenty of shade trees mean the picnic tables and BBQ area are actually usable in summer, which isn’t something you can say about every park in the inner south. Dogs are welcome, and the open grass field gives them room to do their thing while everyone else does theirs. It’s the kind of place where you’ll see a family grilling on a Sunday right next to someone running drills — that mix is what makes it work.
