If you’ve got a toddler or a kid who’s still in the “please don’t run off” phase, this one’s genuinely great. The whole play area is fenced, which means you can actually sit down at a picnic table and not spend every second on your feet. There’s a solid little setup — slides, swings, a climbing structure — nothing over the top, but exactly what younger kids want to get stuck into. Shade trees keep it bearable in summer, parking is right there, and you’re a short walk from the cafes and shops along Burwood’s main strip. It’s the kind of local park you end up at twice a week without really planning to.
