If you’re already heading out to Fitzroy Falls for the day, this reserve makes a solid stop before or after hitting the trails. It sits right in that pocket of the Southern Highlands where the bush feels genuinely wild, and the views around you do most of the heavy lifting. Morton National Park is basically on your doorstep, so it’s easy to string together a proper family day out rather than just a quick park visit. The kind of place locals know about but doesn’t always make the tourist itineraries.
