Marmong Point Foreshore Playground

Locals don’t really talk about this one much, which honestly keeps it nice. The lake views from the foreshore are genuinely hard to beat — grab a spot at one of the picnic tables, fire up the BBQ, and you’ve got yourself a pretty solid afternoon. There’s a small play area for the kids, plus the walking path that winds through the bushland if you want to stretch your legs after eating. Fishing from the foreshore is a thing here too, and the quiet neighbourhood feel means it rarely gets overcrowded. Worth knowing about if you’re after somewhere low-key around Lake Macquarie.
