Parnell Place playground

A no-frills little playground in Newcastle East that does exactly what it needs to — swings, a slide, a picnic table, and a good stretch of open grass for kids to burn off energy. The grassy hill next to the equipment is honestly the best part; watch any kid beeline straight for it. Worth knowing upfront though: there’s no shade and no toilets, so pack accordingly and don’t plan on a long stay in the middle of summer. Best suited for toddlers and younger kids who don’t need a massive setup to have a good time.
