North Boambee Valley doesn’t get enough credit for this one. The water feature keeps kids busy for way longer than you’d expect, especially on a warm day, and the climbing structure and slides give the older ones enough to do while toddlers splash around. It’s a genuinely easy spot to spend a few hours — picnic tables, decent shade, and good sightlines so you’re not constantly chasing after anyone. The open grass field backs it all up nicely, and there’s a walking path if you want to stretch your legs around the lake after lunch. Locals know it, but it never feels overrun.
