Petersham Park Playground

Locals with kids know this one well — it’s a solid setup with swings, proper shade from mature trees, and enough open grass to actually run around on. The BBQ area and picnic tables mean you can make a proper afternoon of it, and having restrooms on-site is the difference between a quick visit and staying for hours. Shaded seating is a nice touch for parents who aren’t chasing toddlers the whole time. Works well for all ages up to about 12, and the walking path around the park is handy if you’ve got a pram or just want to stretch your legs while the kids play.
