Orana Reserve Playground

Fairly new addition to Queanbeyan West, and honestly one of the better playgrounds to pop up in the area recently. The talking pipes are a genuine hit with kids — they actually stop and use them, which doesn’t happen with every piece of equipment. There’s a nest swing, tunnel slide, and a shop window with scales that gives the whole place a bit of a themed feel without being over the top. Shade trees and a solid picnic area mean you can actually settle in for a while, and the paved entry with murals makes it feel like someone put real thought into the design. Good for kids from toddlers up to around ten, and quiet enough that you’re not fighting for equipment on a weekday morning.
