Govett Reserve Playground

A solid little local park that does the job for toddlers and preschoolers without any fuss. The play equipment is straightforward — slides, swings, a climbing structure — nothing flashy, but the right scale for small kids who aren’t ready for anything too ambitious. There’s a decent stretch of open grass alongside it, which is genuinely useful when you just need to let a three-year-old run laps for twenty minutes. Honestly though, don’t come expecting facilities — there are no toilets or picnic tables, so plan accordingly. It’s the kind of neighbourhood park you’d visit because it’s five minutes from home, not because you’d make a special trip.
