Rankin Park doesn’t have a lot going on, but this little spot on Elbrook Drive is genuinely one of the better kept secrets in the area. The shade coverage is decent enough that you’re not frying on a summer afternoon, which honestly makes or breaks a playground visit with young kids. There’s a climbing structure, a slide, and swings — nothing over the top, but solid for the little ones. Bench seating means you can actually sit down and watch them play rather than hovering the whole time. It’s a quiet street too, so you’re not dealing with traffic noise or crowds.
