Welby Oval

Just a big open paddock, really, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. Kids can actually run flat-out here without hitting a fence or a piece of equipment every five seconds, which is rarer than you’d think. The locals use it for all sorts — kick-to-kick, letting the dog stretch its legs, impromptu games that don’t need any rules. It’s accessible and easy to get to, so it pulls in families from around the Welby area pretty regularly. Nothing fancy, but that’s kind of the point.
