Trundle Park

One of the better shady spots in Coorparoo, this quiet little park punches above its weight for families with young kids. The playground has slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a sandbox — solid setup for toddlers through primary school age — and the mature trees actually do their job keeping things cool. Grab one of the picnic tables for lunch while the kids run off steam on the open grass field. Parking’s easy, the neighbourhood is calm, and apparently there are chickens around which the little ones love. It’s not flashy, but it’s exactly what a local park should be.
