Archerfield Wetlands District Park

This one’s a proper day-out spot, not just a quick after-school stop. The playground is genuinely big — multi-level slides, swings, a sandbox kids can lose themselves in for an hour, and a water feature that becomes the main event on any warm Queensland afternoon. Pack a bag because there’s shaded picnic shelters, BBQs, and clean toilets, so you’re not rushing home. Once the kids burn out on the play equipment, the walking and bike tracks wind through the wetlands and past the pond, which is worth it on its own. Basketball court’s there too if you’ve got older ones who need something to do.
