Heatley Park Playground

If you live anywhere near Heatley, this park is genuinely one of the better spots in the area to burn a few hours with the kids. The fully fenced play area means you’re not chasing toddlers across the grass every five minutes, and the shade trees actually do their job — it’s not unbearable even on a warm Queensland afternoon. There’s a solid mix of slides, swings, and a climbing structure that’ll keep kids from crawlers right up to about 10 entertained without too much squabbling over equipment. Chuck some snags on the BBQ, claim a picnic table, and you’ve got a proper afternoon sorted. The bike track and soccer field are right there too, so older kids or sporty families have plenty to work with beyond the main play area.
