Sunshine Cove Park

Right on the edge of the lake in Maroochydore, this is the kind of park locals actually return to rather than just tick off a list. The climbing structure, slides, and swings keep kids from 2 to 12 genuinely occupied, and the open grass field gives them somewhere to burn off whatever energy is left. Shade trees and covered seating mean parents aren’t just surviving the visit — there’s a bench with your name on it and decent sightlines across the whole play area. Picnic tables make it easy to stretch the afternoon out, and parking is straightforward enough that you won’t arrive already stressed. That waterfront backdrop doesn’t hurt either.
